Customers of the Power Holding Company of Nigeria are wondering whether the ‘honeymoon’ which they enjoyed with the electricity provider some months ago is over.
A survey conducted by Power Talkback shows that more customers are giving up on the PHCN as being incapable of sustaining adequate supply, which was celebrated some months back.
Inadequate electricity supply is still negatively impacting on economic activities in the country, resulting in the shutting down of more businesses. The lack of access to adequate electricity has proved to be detrimental to businesses, patrons, and families.
Those who reached out to the column lamented how they have been suffering in two ways: apart from not enjoying supply, post-paid customers say they are made to pay high bills, irrespective of what they consume.
Mr. Yinka Adelakin is a post-paid meter customer and he informed Power Talkback about his frustrations with the electricity provider.
