Power: Omotosho to Add 500mw by December – NDPHC

 
 
 
The Management of Niger Delta Power Holding Company (NDPHC) Limited has assured Nigerians that Omotosho Power Plant Phase ll is ready to contribute additional 500 megawatts to the national grid by December.
Mr. James Olotu, the Managing Director of the company, owners of the National Integrated Power Project (NIPP), disclosed this to news men in Ondo State during an inspection visit to some NIPP power plants in the South-West.
Olotu said three of the four units in Omotosho is already contributing about 375 megawatts to the national grid while the last unit would come on stream by December to make 500 megawatts.
He said the on-going success recorded in the NIPP power project is in line with the power sector reform agenda of President Goodluck Jonathan’s administration.
“I have been assured by the contractor handling the projects that the 500 mega watts will be added to the national grid by December.
