THE over 40,000 people living in various communities scattered in Bammeke, Shasha in Alimosho Local Government Area of Lagos State have continued to suffer untold hardship over epileptic power supply.
While residents of other areas had confessed to have witnessed an improvement in power supply to their areas, the reverse has been the case in Bammeke where electricity has almost become non-existent.
The situation has created tension among residents of the area who have accused the PHCN officials of selling the slots the people of the area are supposed to enjoy to other areas.
The PHCN officials are said to be supplying electricity to areas that settle them heavily, while areas that do not ‘play ball’ are thrown into darkness.
Those who spoke to the Tribune Community News cited Babalola Street where power supply is constantly provided because the personal house of a serving governor in one of the South Western States is located there.
