Jalingo - The Power Holding Company of Nigeria (PHCN) in Taraba says it received
19 transformers from the Federal Government under the Ministerial Intervention
Project.
The Public Relations Officer, Alhaji Aliyu Ardo, made this known in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Jalingo on Monday.
According to him, the transformers will address the problems of overloading and low voltage capacity in some parts of the state.
Ardo said they would be distributed based on need to the eight Local Governments of the state that were already connected to the national grid.
He, however, said that 16 councils, including Kurmi, Sardauna, Gashaka and Karimlamido were yet to be connected to the grid.
