Abducted workers of Power Holding Company of Nigeria ( PHCN ) from Nnewi Business Unit of the company in Anambra State have been set free by their captors.
The electricity workers were said to have regained their freedom on Sunday, March 17, 2013 after allegedly paying undisclosed amount of money as ransom to their abductors.

The Business Manager, Nnewi Business Unit, Amaram, an engineer, told Daily Champion yestyerday morning that the Public Relations Officer, Chinenye Anaene, and one other worker, whose name was not disclosed, who were reportedly abducted about two weeks ago by hoodlums suspected to be kidnappers, have been set free by their abductors after a said undisclosed amount of ransom was allegedly paid to them.
Amaram, who expressed gratitude to God over the release of the workers, said the workers were recuperating and would resume duty soon.
