The Air Force said it is investigating the complaints.
The Nigerian Air Force on Wednesday faulted the allegation that some of its officers brutalised some staff of the Ibadan Zone of the Power Holding Company of Nigeria (PHCN).
A statement issued in Abuja and signed by Air Commodore Yusuf Anas, the Director of Public Relations and Information, said that preliminary investigation by NAF showed that no PHCN staff was brutalised.
The statement was reacting to a story published by some media organisations alleging brutality of some staff of the Ibadan Zone of the PHCN by some air force officers.
It noted that the organised labour was threatening to shut down electricity supply in the South West and across the country by April 2 over the alleged brutality and physical torture of the workers by men of the Nigerian Air Force.
“While we uphold the right of the aggrieved to seek redress, we are, however, compelled to state that the issue had earlier been reported to NAF authorities and investigation is on to get to the root of the matter.
“It is, however, important to emphasise that NAF has laid down procedures for handling such matters and it will not be fair to jump the gun or preempt the outcome of its investigation.
