Privatization war looms as Peterside dares Dikki over moves to truncate power reform

By ADEWALE SANYAOLU
After about two weeks of dilly-dallying, Daily Sun can authoritatively reveal that the much awaited Technical Committee meeting of the National Council on Privatization (NCP), which had hitherto generated controversy has been slated for tomorrow (Tuesday).
The Atedo Peterside, chaired committee that advises and supervises the privatization agency; Bureau of Public Enterprises (BPE), has been in the eye of the storm over its inconclusive business on the power reform programme.
Daily Sun learnt that the meeting slated for Tuesday, followed the insistence of Peterside, who argued that it had become necessary to conclude business on the sale of the Power Holding Company of Nigeria (PHCN) assets for Enugu Distribution Company (Enugu Disco), which was yet to be finalized.
