Power supply across Nigeria has dropped by 22 per cent, the Minister of Power, Prof. Chinedu Nebo, has said.
He said the drop was due to the activities perpetuated by vandals of power infrastructure.
Nebo, in a statement by the Federal Ministry of Power, stated that the Western electricity trunk line from Warri through Escravos was found to have been damaged at many points than it was initially imagined.
“Another one at the Eastern axis at Boko loma was punctured at many points and it would take the next one month to fix,” he said.
He said the vandals had injured the nation’s economy, adding that they should not be spared
