NIPP delivers new power projects, boosts supply to Lagos

 
RESPITE may be on the way for electricity consumers in the country, as the National Integrated Power Projects (NIPP) begin to roll out more projects that would deliver efficient power supply to the system.
Besides, the Power Holding Company of Nigeria (PHCN) yesterday light up over 3,000 households through its world banks supported project that installed about 242 new transformers in the Mushin axis of the state.
The Chief Executive Officer, Eko Electricity Distribution Company, Oladele Amoda, said the new transformers would serve over 3,000 households in the network.
The Managing Director, Niger Delta Power Holding Company (NDPHC), James Olotu, who equally commissioned three new power projects in the state, said it is new dawn for the nation in terms of power supply, as significant improvement would be made through the new facilities.
He said the NIPP is installing about 22,500 new power transformers across the country.
