THE Interstate Consortium, which emerged the preferred winner for Abuja and Enugu electricity distribution companies, said it was positioned to make the necessary investments that will improve and modernize the distribution networks.
The Interstate Consortium comprises Chrome Energy, Power House International Limited and Metropolitan Electricity Authority of Thailand (MEA).
The Chairman, Powerhouse International Limited, a member of the Interstate Consortium, Mr. Kester Enwereonu, in a statement, said the combined balance sheet of the consortium was in excess of $20 billion, which showed that they had the financial muscle to finance the acquisitions and upgrade both networks.
