Thirty four year-old Moruff Bello's illness started with a cough. The cough was later diagnosed as tuberculosis (TB) at a private hospital. But Bello's TB turned out to be aortic aneurysm, a killer disease. Sade Oguntola reports how the University College Hospital (UCH) saved him.
BELLO'S ill health started with a cough which degenerated to a terrible back pain that left him unable to walk properly. At Get-Well Hospital, Akingbade, Ibadan, tests ran on Moruff Bello, a casual worker with PHCN, Iyana church, Oyo State, initially revealed that the blood vessel supplying his back had some problems.
Later it was said that he had tuberculosis. Bello said he was initially, “suspected to have tuberculosis. After the commencement of treatment for three days, a serious back pain started. After about a week, an X-ray revealed that the vein that supplies the back had a problem,” recounted Bello.
