Electricity tariff is expected to crash by at least 21 per cent after the successfull privatisation of 60 percent of government holdings, Mr Atedo Peterside, chairman of the Technical Committee of the National Council on Privatisation said yesterday.
He however said that the Southern Consortium which the state governors were crying foul over has already violated laid down rules by submitting two bids instead of one.
Peterside explained that the core reason why the final successful bidders would emerge by the end of this month is hinged on how much they will be able to recoup power that is lost during distribution.
