Mr Wisdom Nwachukwu, Branch Chairman of National Union of Electricity Employees (NUEE) FCT chapter on Friday listed challenges facing by Staff of Power Holding Company of Nigeria (PHCN) Headquarters, Abuja.
Nwachukwu listed the problems in his address at the National Executive Council Meeting held by the union in Abuja.
``In recent past, payment of staff salary of the corporate Headquarters has been irregular and very difficult.
``We appreciate the effort of the National Secretariat in finding temporary solution to this and will appreciate if a permanent solution is found which will bring succour to our staff in the headquarters.
`` This will show the government that even if death sentence is passed on somebody, the person still needs to be fed,’’ he said.
He said that the annual medical allocation to the Abuja Electricity Distribution Company by the Federal Government was inadequate and called for its upward review.
